Do I need to know c++ to understand and read this metal by tutorial book?? Pls someone answer

You will write short shader functions in C++, however, you won’t need to know it, as the book will tell you, and you’ll soon understand what is necessary.
The shader code mostly consists of simple math and variable assignments.
