Hi

I use a split view controller to add items to the Detail Controller.

In my master controller I seque to an uiviewcontroller (push) that shows images.

On selecting an image I segue to DetailViewController using a hidden button (already sounds bad).

Have tried all I can think of to customise UIBarButton item to show <Master and the collapse detail when I select this.

Obviously this works fine if I stay in the box and walk up and down the Master Navigation Stack but this is clunky…

Two questions

  1. Is it really this hard or is it me being stupid(quite likely)

  2. How do I force the collapse of a Detail View Controller

Any help greatfully received have been at this for weeks

Have tried all I can think of to customise UIBarButton item to show the button back to master and I have been able to get this to work and execute code in the master controller but can not collapse the primary
