I have a question about p12 certificates.
When is it needed and how to use it?

Hello!

You only come across the p12 format when you need to export/share your certificate and private key. When you export them together in Keychain Access, they both come bundled in one p12 file.

You usually only need to do this if you have to move your distribution cert+key to another machine. You don’t need to do this for your development cert+key because you can have multiple development certificates assigned to your user.
