Screen Goes Blank after Installing DatePicker in Chapter 20

In Chapter 20, Local Noptifications, right after I install the DatePicker in Storyboard and run the app, when a new item is entered in a CheckList ( Press the + key), the DatePicker momentarily shows and then the screen goes blank in the simulator. I have checked the code and the storyboard settings and cannot find any errors.

The finished project for the chapter runs fine on my system. I’m running OS Mojave and the latest version of Xcode.

Any ideas?
