PBS station seeks freelance app developers

Apologies if this type of post is not allowed, but I’m a former RW tutorial writer (not a very good one, tho I got a couple article updates published), and I recall there used to be a mailing list for opportunities, so figured this might be OK.

I currently manage the digital team at the Seattle PBS station, KCTS 9. We have a family of streaming apps (http://KCTS9.org/apps), and we’re looking for some help maintaining/iterating on our iOS/tvOS (Swift), Android (Java) and FireTV (Kotlin) apps.

We have an internal tech team that manages the API behind the apps, and one app developer who is ramping up on Android. We also have an internal data team, which is overseeing a Google Analytics 4 upgrade.

Initially, we’re looking for a developer(s) to integrate the Firebase SDK, and add Google Analytics 4 tagging to the apps. In the future, there’s a potential for steady freelance work (possible full-time remote in the future if there’s mutual interest and we can swing the budget.)

If interested, please reply or drop me a note @ kcolligan@kcts9.org.

Cheers,
Kevin Colligan
