New App for Trad music practitioners

I am pleased to announce the launch of Grassbeats for both iphone and ipad.

This provides a selection of standard traditional american fiddle tunes that can be modified to play in any key or tempo.

The goal of the app is to assist musicians as they practice these tunes. Often instructors ask/challenge their students to play pieces in multiple keys and tempos. This apps addresses this need.

Another challenge is in developing your improvising skills which often requires a looping through a backing trap as you experiment. This apps addresses this need.

One more bonus of the app is when you are at a jam and are not sure of the chords for a tune. This app can be a great resource.

I currently have 59 tunes so far and am working on expanding the library.

None of this would have been do-able without all the great resources at Ray’s site!

I had downloaded it from the link above. This is nice.
It gives a very good assistance for the musicians who are working on such tune.
Hope you will update the library and put some more good tunes there.
