My invoice for July 2017, for the 1st time, has a 10% VAT amount added. I am in Australia not in the UK, so why am I paying this amount (which never happened before)? Is this because RW switched to a UK-based payment processing provider (Paddle)? Thanks in advance.

Iโm not sure whatโs going on here. You already had two other monthly payments under Paddle without being charged VAT. And since they are in UK and you are in Australia, itโs still a cross-border transaction for you, so I was under the impression you could still supply your VAT ID and not be charged any VAT with your order. Iโve emailed Paddle asking what happened here and ccโd you so that we can find out together what happened.
