Is this normal?

Hi I’m new to iOS development and I recently bought the book 2D Apple Games. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Whenever I execute the program it goes into this state where I need to click continue program execution.

I attached an image for your reference. And when I start executing it, it shows me this

I’m just curious if this is normal and does this mean it’s using up all my memory or is it like a graph on how the memory is being used?

Sorry, but it is not clear what problem do you have. That part of the screen that you showed isn’t telling much, memory usage looks OK on it.
Can you please take a screenshot of the whole XCode window?
