Help buying mac to use "3D Apple Games by Tutorial"

I am new to Mac and this forum. I need to buy a Mac to use ā€œ3D Apple games by Tutorialā€. Which Mac has the minimum video hardware requirement to run all the examples of the book smoothly? ā€œMinimumā€ because I want to spend as less as possible. Thanks!

First of all, welcome to the forum @3denth and thanks for choosing us to help you get into developing on a Mac!

In order to complete the exercises from within the book, you will technically need any mac that can run OS X El Capitan or later. You can find the hardware requirements for El Capitan here.

Running all the tutorials smoothly is a little vague however iā€™d probably say that an iMac or MacBook Pro that was released within the last 3 years (2014+) should be sufficient (depending on specs). Youā€™ll be working with a few developers tools so anything with an SSD, 8gb ram and an Intel Core i5/i7 processor should be capable of getting you through the book.
