Get top 5 RGB color from camera feed

Hi, I was given an assignment for a Job interview:

Open the camera and get the top 5 RGB from the live camera feed(so If I move the iPhone those values should change)

Without using any 3rd party libraries!

Should I use ARkit? AVFoundation?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
