Core Data entity renaming

Hi guys, looking for thoughts. We recently took over an app that has existing CoreData entities, these entities were defined in core data using a plural naming standard. This started an internal discussion about whether we bother changing this to singular naming and benefits and downsides etc.

Our understanding was that since this solution was developed back in the early days, the original developers considered the entities to be database tables and used table naming standards.

We cant see a benefit one way or another other than standardization. Would appreciate any thoughts
