The example works after modifying a few source files and running it.
Disappointingly, the problem is not being managed at all. After selling the product, there is no follow-up management at all…

Well done for figuring out how to update it for the changing API.
This book was published over two years ago, and therefore parts are likely to become out of date as the platform and tools like this change. Unfortunately we are not able to follow these updates without publishing new editions of books—such is the nature of publishing.
Some of these topics will be covered in our new multi-modal content which is being published at the moment, which might alleviate some of these issues.
Apologies that this makes learning from our older books more challenging, but hopefully you can still gain a huge amount of knowledge, experience and practice from the content.
