I was stumped for a few hours trying to get the background image of the fortune cookie to show up on the watch simulator. I finally opened the final project (so glad you guys include them) and saw that I place the background image in the Watchkit App Extension folder instead of the Watchkit App folder. Absolute newbie mistake but I’m definitely a newbie with WatchOS at this point. Hope this can help others.
