I’m trying to add support for in app purchase for an app that has been on the app store for 6 years and it’s all free up until now.
The in app capability is specifically for a new section in the app that we are going to introduce soon. But we don’t know how it’d affect number of installs, app store ranking and etc. (since there will be a new “In-App Purchases” text added next to the app name in app store, refer to the screenshot)
Because of these concerns I’m evaluating whether I can remove in app purchase from my app (along with the section that requires it). Does it remove the “In-App Purchases” text from the app store if I disable the capability?
Also from Apple’s perspective, is it fine not to let users who have already purchased an item accessing it?
