Did you ever want to tinker with all those little pins on hardware boards? Well in this tutorial, you’ll learn how to do just that, with AndroidThings!
Because of the shift away from the Android Things support (outside of hardware partners), at this point, there is no guarantee that it will continue to be supported long term. There is also the issue of the current support only allowing for a limited number of devices on their platform. If you want to use this on a smaller scale deployment and could work around the platform not continuing to be supported long term you should be fine. If not you might want to look at a different solution. For example, if Android still makes sense for your project you might consider rolling your own version of Android. These days Android Things is a great way to get your feet we with IOT and to work with small scale projects that may or may not fully be production apps and could work around Google abandoning it.
