Adding app info to lock screen when active

Hi

I never know what these things are called within iOS. But I’m when an app is active, how do add info to the lock screen? As a specific example, if you run the Timer in iOS and lock your phone, it will still pop up how long is remaining?

You want to take a look at the Notification Center.
