I live out in the country in a solar and wood heated, underground house with many windows facing south and east. I’ve been retired for more than 14 years and enjoy working outdoors, cutting firewood, and other things like that, and playing around with my 2017 MacBook Pro and my oversized desktop computer running Arch Linux. Recently, with so much wood cut and split that I’m giving it away, I decided to make a screensaver to run on my laptop. Did I say that my specialty over the years has been Computational Methods in Multi-body Dynamics? But not so much in computer programming, as I let others do that. Now I’m in trouble, which is why I’m here. So what is the best way to make a MacOS screensaver? I’m guessing it’s Swift-based programming in Metal, or something like that. I plan to learn a lot more about using the latest versions of XCode, Swift, and Metal.
