# TestFlight redemption codes

The book says that if you open the TestFlight invitation email on a desktop a redemption code will be displayed. As of today, that is not happening on my mac. The page displayed says:

> # You have been invited to a TestFlight beta app.
> 
> If you don’t have TestFlight installed on your iOS device, [get it on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/testflight/id899247664?mt=8&build=72684835). TestFlight requires an iOS device with iOS 13 or later.

No redemption code. Am I missing something? Or has Apple moved the redemption code to somewhere else?

Hi @ckrutsinger! Thanks for pointing this out. Looks like Apple has changed the way Test Flight now works on iOS. Referring to [https://testflight.apple.com](https://testflight.apple.com), it says:

> ### Installing a Beta iOS App via Email or Public Link Invitation
> 
> 1. [Install TestFlight](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/testflight/id899247664?mt=8) on the iOS device that you’ll use for testing.
> 2. Open your invitation email or tap on the public link on your iOS device.

That’s much simpler and more straight forward now.  
I only see redemption codes for invitations by email for tvOS apps:

> ### Installing a Beta tvOS App via Email Invitation
> 
> 1. [Install TestFlight](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/testflight/id899247664?mt=8) on Apple TV.
> 2. Open your invitation email on a mobile device or computer.
> 3. Click or tap Start Testing. You’ll be taken to a web page with a redemption code.
> 4. Open TestFlight on Apple TV.
> 5. Go to Redeem and enter the redemption code.

We’ll take a look at this for the next edition to make sure the most current state of things are reflected in the book. Thank again!

Facing the same issue[.](https://calculadoraprimaria.com/) Follow this instruction step by step, its done but something is missing.
