# Chapter 9/10: Remote API endpoint returns 503

Found an issue when running the example app `https://dogpatchserver.herokuapp.com/api/v1/dogs` is returning `503` and so no results are able to be rendered.

Running the starter or final project from CH 10 has the same result.

Same issue with

> [https://dogpatchserver.herokuapp.com/api/v1/](https://dogpatchserver.herokuapp.com/api/v1/)

I’m guessing that’s the updated API but it’s also not working
